Trolley Bags Original are a system of four reusable shopping bags that are used to pack your shopping at the supermarket checkout. The Original set are the ideal size to fit the large, deep trolleys for the big weekly shop.
The first ever Trolley Bags is a four-bag set with half mesh bottom called the Original. Designed in vibrant bold colours; orange, green, red, and blue, which not only look very eye-catching, but they also serve a purpose. Long gone are the days where you chuck whatever comes at you first into any old bag, now you can pack your shopping organised and efficiently into colour-coded bags. You can use the blue bag for freezer products, the red for fridge items, green for cupboard items, and the orange for household products or however you see fit. Each durable bag can hold up to 15kg of shopping.

How do they work?
In one simple action the Trolley Bags system spreads out and rests on the deeper supermarket trolleys, giving you a series of open and upright bags into which you can pack and sort your shopping with both hands. I love these bags. Learn by your mistakes whilst packing – I’ve got it down to a fine art. I have recommended them to friends and family. The only thing I would want to make them perfect would be that when they need to be stored, for one of the handles to have a little strap with Velcro to wrap through the other handle to keep them together – like an umbrella has. Just a silly , minor thing ……. or do I have OCD?

I really liked the idea of these bags as I do the quick check hand scanning at Waitrose and always find the packing aspect a complete nightmare. These seemed the answer to my problem and to a degree they are. They fit in the trolley very well but i do not like the netting bottom and didn’t realise they had this when i initially researched them on the website otherwise i do not think i would have bought them as i could have anticipated the problems i am now having. When the shopping is put into them the netting stretches and then become very bulky and awkward as well as heavy and then they become difficult to lift out of the trolley. I am no weakling but because of the length they stretch to with the weight of very little shopping, it is so difficult to lift them up and over to get them out of the trolley. I think it would have been more successful to have made the bags of all one material and not use the netting

i love the bags but find that the wooden poles are too long they catch on things and they are too deep it makes them too heavy to carry. I am going to shorten mine and see if I can make the poles shorter. But I do like them

I am 5’6″ & reasonably fit but do struggle lifting the larger ones up over the edge of the trolley & then over the edge of the car boot into the well . As I pick up the bags the bottom sags so in effect they becoming even deeper . I entirely agree with Sally Jones’s comments & look forward to the arrival of the swallower ones as otherwise they are great .

Fantasic concept makes shopping in Aldi much quicker and the staff were inpressed with them too… as I can pack and keep up with them:) They can get very heavy when packed, key is to organise shopping when loading on conveyor belt. Would and do recommend to others.

These bags are perfect! The supermarket I use have a system where you can’t pack your shopping at the till, so these are just perfect! Makes my life so much easier! Easily fit a family weekly shop in these, love them!

I love these bags, I use them for the speed packing challenge the cashiers at ALDI and LIDL set! I do my shopping as normal then use the bags to sort into cupboard/fridge/freezer foods at the check out. They are deeper than the trolly but this means you can fill them up, then when you take them out of the trolly the stuff on the top stays in the bag. They are quite long so would be tricky for a shorter person to lift out of the trolly if they were full. I fit a weeks worth of shopping for my family of four easily. I have told my friends about them and some of them have bought them too.
The only improvements I would make would be a little tag to clip a trolly token key ring onto and a freezer bag with insulation.

I love these bags so much, I bought another set for my parents! I am constantly being stopped at the supermarket asking where I got them. They are such a great idea! I find the poles a little long (I keep knocking people with them) but I probably just need to get used to them. Otherwise, they can’t be faulted. Strong, well-made bags. So easy to use. They have revolutionised the way I shop!!
